HomeMy WebLinkAbout7146_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 7146 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR PROPOSED GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 129 WHEREAS,in accordance with Government Code section 65855,the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands has reviewed an application filed by Environmental Systems Research Institute to change the General Plan land use designation from High Density Residential to Office for a parcel of land totaling approximately 1.15 acres(the"Project")located on the north side of State Street, between Texas and New York Streets, designated as Assessor's Parcel No. 0171-171-17 ("General Plan Amendment No. 129");and WHEREAS,on March 13,2012,the Planning Commission held a noticed public hearing on General Plan Amendment No. 129 and considered the verbal and written testimony of City staff,the applicant for the proposed General Plan amendment,and testimony from members of tie public;and WHEREAS,the planning Commission has recommended to the City Council that General Plan Amendment No. 129 be approved; and WHEREAS, on March 28, 2012, notice of this City Council's public hearing for General Plan Amendment No. 129 was duly published in the Redlands Daily Facts by the Redlands City Clerk;and WHEREAS,on April 17, 2012,the City Council held a public hearing and considered the staff written and oral reports,the recommendation of the Planning Commission,the testimony and written evidence submitted by and on behalf of the applicant, and testimony by members of the public; and WHEREAS, following the public hearing on General Plan Amendment No. 129, the City Council determined that approval of the request for the General Plan amendment is in the best interests of the public health,safety and general welfare; NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows: Section 1. General Plan Amendment No. 129 is hereby approved to change the General Plan land use designation ftom High Density Residential to Office for a parcel of land totaling approximately 1.15 acres(the"Projeef')located on the north side of State Street,between Texas and New York Streets,designated as Assessor's Parcel No.0171-171-17 as shown on Exhibit"A."
