HomeMy WebLinkAbout7463_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 7463 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ADOPTING AMENDMENT NO. 132 TO THE REDLANDS GENERAL PLAN WHEREAS,in accordance with Government Code section 65855,the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands has reviewed proposed amendment number 132 to the Redlands General Plan (the"Amendment")to change the General Plan land use designation from Commercial to Parks/Golf Courses for the segment of an alley totaling approximately 2,800 square feet located easterly and westerly of Orange Street and 5th Street, and northerly and southerly of Citrus Avenue and State Street, and to amend the Open Space and Conservation Element of the General Plan to include the subject 2,800 square foot alley segment as a public park, and after holding a noticed public hearing, made a written recommendation for adoption of the Amendment to the City Council; and WHEREAS, on October 14, 2014,the PIanning Commission held a noticed public hearing on General Plan Amendment No. 132 and considered verbal and written testimony of City staff, the applicant for the proposed General Plan Amendment,and testimony from members of the public;and WHEREAS, the Planning Coirnnission has recommended to the City Council that General Plan Amendment No. 132 be approved; and WHEREAS on October 1, 2014, notice of this City Council's public hearing for the Amendment was published in the Redlands Daily Facts by the City Clerk; and WHEREAS, on October 21, 2014,the City Council held a public hearing and considered the staff written and oral reports, the recommendation of the Planning Commission, the testimony and written evidence subinitted by and on behalf of the applicant, and testimony by members ofthe public; and WHEREAS, following a public hearing on the proposed Arnendrment, at which this City Council provided opportunity for public testimony,the City Council determined that adoption ofthe Amendment is in the best interests of the public health, safety and general welfare; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows: Section 1.
