A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RDLANDS
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 5324 RELATING TO FEES FOR
CONCEALED WEAPON PERMITS
WHREAS, Chapter 3.16 of the Redlands Municipal Code authorizes this City Council to
require the ascertainment of recovery of costs reasonably borne from fees and charges levied
therefor in providing the regulation, products, or services hereinafter enumerated; and
WHEREAS, effective January 1, 1999, California Penal Code Section 12054(a) was
amended and set a maximum fee a licensing agency may charge for processing initial and
renewal concealed weapon permits; and
WHEREAS, effective January 1, 1999, California Penal Code Section 12054(b) was
amended and set a maximum fee a licensing agency may charge for amending a concealed
weapon permit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as
follows:
Section 1. The fees for a concealed weapon permit are as follows:
a) Concealed Weapon Permit(Initial) $100.00
b) Concealed Weapon Permit(Renewal) 25.00
c) Concealed Weapon Permit(Amendment) 10.00
Pursuant to Penal Code Section 12054(b), these fees shall be automatically increased on
an annual basis at a rate equal to the increase in the California consumer Price Index.
Section 2. These fees shall become effective immediately upon adoption of this
Resolution.
