A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI'T'Y OF REDLANDS FOR
ADOPTION OF AMENDMENT NO. 25 TO THE GENERAL PLAN
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands has
prepared an amendment to the General Plan and adapted such amend-
ment in R.P.C. Resolution No. 508 , after holding a public hearing
upon notice in accordance with the Government Code, State of
California; and
WHEREAS, R.P.C. Resolution No. 508 , a copy of which is attached
hereto, has been certified to the City Council of the City of
Redlands; and
WHEREAS, on the 22nd day of September, 1979, a notice of Public
Hearing was published in the Redlands Daily Facts; and
WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of October 1979, the City Council, has
held a duly advertised public hearing concerned with the proposed
amendment to the said General Plan; and
WHEREAS, following said Public Hearing the City Council
declares that the proposed amendment is in the interest of the
public health, safety and general welfare; and
WHEREAS, all of the provisions of the Government Cade relating
to the amendment of the general plan have been complied with,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Redlands :
That the amendment to the General, Plan adapted by the Planning
Commission in R.P.C. Resolution No. 508 shall be adopted as follows :
AMENDMENT NO. 25 TO THE
GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
That a document entitled General Plan Housing Element,
Revised 1979, and .identified with the index title of GP--25,
be adapted as a part of the City of Redlands ' General Plan
pursuant to regulations established under Section 41.134 of
the California Health and Safety Code.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this-.,2d day of October, 1973.

RESOLUTION FOR ADOPTION OF AMENDMENT 140. 25 TO THE
GENERAL PLAN OF TILE CITY OF REDLANDS
WH ,EREAS the California State Legislature has adopted into law a
requirement that each city and county shall adopt a
Housing Element as a part of it5 General Plan; this
element of the plan became operative July 1, 1969, and
phase two became operative October 21, 1970.
W, HEREAS the Planning Department has developed a revised Housing
Element pursuant to regulations established under Section
41.134 of the Health and Safety Code, consisting of standards
and plans for the improvement of housing and for provision of
adequate sites for housing. This element of the plan shall
make adequate provision for the housing needs of all economic
segments of the community.
W H E R E A S on the 31st day of August, 1979, flotice of Public Hearing was
published in the Redlands Daily Facts, and on the 11th day of
September, 1979, the Planning Commission held a public hearing
concerning this proposed element of the General Plan.
W-.-H E R E A S following said public hearing the Planning Commission declares
that the. proposed amendment is in the interest of the public
health, safety, and general welfare.
W H E R E A S all the provisions of the California Government Code relating
to the amendment of the General Plan have been complied with.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE I T RESOLVED:
by the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands:
A. Pursuant to the provisions of Sections 65300 to 65303
both inclusive, and Section,- 65350 to G5354 both inclusive;
the Planning Coyxission hereby adopts on this 11thl day
of Septemd)er, 1979, lunendment No. 25 to the General Plan
of the City of Redlands.
D. That a document entitled General Plan Housing Element,
revised 1979, and identified with the index title of
CP-25 is on file in the Department of Planning and
Community Development.
C. That the Planning 'Coi-mmis-sion hereby recommends that the
City Council of the City of Redlands, following the
required public hearing, adopt, said Amcndmc*nt No. 25
D. A certified copy of the document and of this resolution
be transmitted to the City Council.
