HomeMy WebLinkAbout4972_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 4972 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ADOPTING AMENDMENT NO. 53 TO THE GENERAL PLAN WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands has prepared an amendment to the General Plan and adopted such amendment in Redlands Planning Commission Resolution No. 808 after holding a public hearing upon notice in accordance with the Government Code of the State of California; and WHEREAS, Redlands Planning Commission Resolution No. 808 has been certified to the City Council of the City of Redlands; and WHEREAS, on the I 1 th day of May, 1993, a Notice of Public Hearing was published in the Redlands Daily Facts; and WHEREAS, following said pubic hearing, the City Council declares that the proposed amendment is in the best interest of public health, safety and general welfare; and WHEREAS, all of the provisions of the Government Code relating to the an amendment of the General Plan have been complied with; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands: That the amendment to the General Plan adopted by the Planning Commission in Redlands Planning Commission Resolution No. 805 shall be adopted as following: AMENDMENT NO. 53 TO THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS That the paragraph entitled "Plan Process" under the "Statement of Objectives" located on page I of General Plan Amendment No. 38 is hereby amended to read as follows: "Plan Process: As stated above, the plan process is the application of two sets of overlapping policy. It is important to note at this point that this study is but the policy formulation portion of the 'planning for this area'. This effort has identified 12 subsectors, which we have labeled Planning Sectors, which are each complex units unto themselves. Because they are numerous and complex, it was beyond the scope of this effort to quantify and specifically 'plan' each individual sector. A specific pian shall be developed for each of these sectors consistent with the Policy Recommendations contained herein as the means of implementing this General Plan. Notwithstanding the foregoing, a specific plan shall not be a prerequisite for the approval of any residential development project consisting of four dwelling units or less within Planning Subsector No. 2."
