A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
INTERPRETING SECTIONS OF THE GENERAL PLAN REGARDING
NOISE STANDARDS
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted a revised General Plan in October, 1995 that
significantly modified the Noise Element of the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, on November 4, 1997 the voters of Redlands approved Measure "U," an
initiative Ordinance of the people of Redlands establishing principals of managed
development; and
WHEREAS, the initiative Ordinance amended the standards of the Noise Element of the
General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the meaning of the phrase "private yard of single family" as contained within
footnote 2 of Table 9.2 in Section 9 of the Noise Element of the General Plan is unclear;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed, discussed and considered public testimony
with regard to this issue,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS.-
Section
OLLOWS:Section 1. The above mentioned recitals are true and correct.
Section 2. The City Council finds that the phrase "private yard of single family" as
contained in footnote 2 of Table 9.2 in Section 9 of the Noise Element of the
General Plan be defined as "rear yard of a single family residence."
