TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES TO THE CITY OF_L- E ANDS,
RELATING TO THE CC)NDUC"1' OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION TO LIE HELD IN SAID C.:I`l`Y ON 3/7 , 19 _S
WHEREAS, a. General Municipal Election is to be field in the City of I�ecila��s
on 3/7 1 X78,and
WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of said election and in relation thereto it will be
necessary to mail sample, ballots and polling place inserts to tlae registered voters of the City, and it will

facilitate such mailing if the Registrar of Voters of the County of Bernardino will prepare and
furnish the City the imprinting of°the names and addresses of the• registered voters of said City on I.B.M,
polling place inserts furnished by tete City, and after bursting the forms will insert the polling place insert
and sample ballot into envelopes, all to be furnished by the City,will place all envelopes in zip-coded snail
bags, advise City Clerk of the numbc;r of pieces to be mailed, prepare POD Form 3601., "Statement of
Mailing Matter With Permit Imprints", and advise the City Clerk when work is complete so delivzry can
be arranged; and
WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing this service shall he paid by tlae City of
Redlands
NOW, THERE.l ORE, the City Council of the Citv of Red 1,rids does hereby
RESOLVE. DETERMINE ANT) ORDER as follows:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the provisions of Section 22003 of tb- Elections Cade
of the State: of California, this City Council hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of said County to
permit the Registrar of Voters to prepare and furnish to said City for use in conducting said election to be
held on 3/7 , 1978 the imprinting of the names and addresses of the registered voters of said City on
I.B.M, polling place inserts furnished by the City and after bursting the forms to insert the polling place
insert and sample:ballots into envelopes,all to be furnished by the City,will place:all envelopes in zip-coded
mail bags, advise City CIerk of tlac number of pi,ces to be mailed, prepare POD Form 3602, "Statement
of Mailing flatter with Permit Imprints", and advise the City Clerk when work is complete ser delivery can
be arranged.
SECTION 2. That said City shall reimburse said County for services performed when
the work is completed and upon presentation to the City of a properly approved bill.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to forward without delay to said
Board of Supervisors and to said Registrar of Voters,each a certified copy of this resolution.
