A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
REGARDING ISSUANCE OF GRADING AND PUBLIC WORKS PERMITS
FOR ANY DEVELOPMENT OR PROJECT SUBJECT TO ORDINANCES NOS .
1680 AND 1717
WHEREAS, Section V of Ordinance No. 1680 provides that
procedures necessary to the implementation of the Initiative,
Proposition "R, " and to give effect to the provisions of Ordinance
No. 1680 may be adopted by resolution of the City Council of the
City of Redlands; and
WHEREAS, the practice of issuing grading permits and public
works permits to projects subject to the allocation process under
Ordinances Nos. 1680 and 1717 prior to said projects receiving
allocations for building permits as provided thereunder has
resulted in unnecessary expenditures of resources and premature
work on projects by developers;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Redlands does ordain as follows:
That Section III of Ordinance No. 1680 be amended to read as
follows:
15. Notwithstanding any other provision of this
Ordinance, no grading permit or public works
permit shall be issued for any development or
project subject to Ordinances Nos . 1680 and
1717 prior to said development or project
having received an allocation for building
permits in the manner prescribed.
