HomeMy WebLinkAbout7175_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO, 7175 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DLANDS AUTHORIZING COMMITMENT OF A 50%LOCAL MATCH FROM THE CLEAN AIR FUND 221 FOR THE CITY"S APPLICATION TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT MATCH PROGRAM FUNDED BY THE MOBILE SOURCE AIR POLLUTION REDUCTION REVIEW COMMITTEE WHEREAS, the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee has made available$6,500,000 to fund the Local Government Match program; and VJIEREAS,the City of Redlands owns and operates its own alternative fueling station at its Corporate Yard;and WHEREAS,the City of Redlands annually adds and replaces alternative fuel vehicles for solid waste collection services to reduce carbon emissions incurred as a result of the operations; and WHEREAS,the City of Redlands has established Fund 221 for Air Quality Improvement and receives an annual allocation of fimds from South Coast Air Quality Management District; and WHEREAS, the City of Redlands, has committed to providing the community with opportunities to increase sustainable environmental practices; WHEREAS, based on fund balances in fiscal year 2013 the Air Quality Improvement Fund will have sufficient funds for the$90,000 match amount; NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows: Section 1. The City Council hereby approves the filing of an application for the Alternative Fuel InIiastructure Grant Program; Section 2. The City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor,or any member of the City Council,to execute on behalf of the City all necessary applications,certifications,agreements and amendments associated with the grant that is the subject of this Resolution; Section 3. The City Council hereby appoints the Quality of Life Director,or his designee,to complete and submit all documents,including but not limited to applications, payment requests,progress reports which may be necessary for the grant that is the subject of this Resolution; Section 4.
