A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
AUTHORIZING THE FILING FOR STATE OF CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY
AND ACCIDENT PREVENTION PROGRAM GRANT
WHEREAS , the Office of Traffic Safety of the Business and
Transportation Agency of the State of California. will accept
requests from cities for grants to fund Traffic Safety Projects
under the Highway and Accident Prevention Program, and
WHEREAS , the City of Redlands is desirous of applying for
such a grant,
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of
the City of Redlands authorizes the filing with the State of
California on behalf of the City of Redlands , a grant application
for a Traffic Safety Project under the Highway and Accident
Prevention Program, and
a.E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Redlands authorizes R. P. Merritt, Jr.. , City Manager, to sign
such a grant application for the city, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Redlands intends to make every effort to continue said Traffic
Safety Project after the grant funds are expended.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 7th day of November, 1972 .
