A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR THE CALIFORNIA
RIVER PARKWAYS GRANT PROGRAM UNDER THE SAFE DRINKING WATER,
WATER QUALITY AND SUPPLY, FLOOD CONTROL, RIVER AND COASTAL
PROTECTION BOND ACT OF 2006 (Proposition 84)
WHEREAS, the Legislature and Governor of the State of California have provided funds
for the California River Parkways Grant Program (the "Grant Program"); and
WHEREAS, the State Resources Agency has been delegated the responsibility for the
administration of the Grant Program, and has established necessary procedures for the processing
of application under the Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Resources Agency require a
resolution certifying the approval of an application by the applicant's governing board before
submission of the application to the State; and
WHEREAS, the applicant, if selected, shall also certify by resolution that it will enter
into an agreement with the State of California to carry out the project for which Grant Funding is
sought;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redlands
as follows:
Section 1. The filing of an application for grant funds under the Safe Water Drinking Water,
Water Quality and Supply, Flood Control, River and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2006
(Proposition 84) is hereby approved and the City Council of the City of Redlands makes the
following certifications:
A. That the City understands the assurances and certification required by the
application;
B. That the City will have sufficient funds to operate and maintain the project for
which Grant Program funding is sought, consistent with the land tenure requirements; or will
secure the resources to do so;
C. The City will comply with all provisions of California Labor Code Section
1771.5;
D. The City will comply with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not
limited to, the California Environmental Quality Act, legal requirements for building codes,
health and safety codes, disabled access laws, and, prior to commencement of construction of the
project, all applicable permits will have been obtained;

Section 2. The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby appoints the Mayor of the
City of Redlands, or his designee, as the City's agent to conduct all negotiations, execute and
submit all documents including, but not limited to, applications, agreements, payments, and
requests, which may be necessary for the completion of the City's project.
