A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS PROVIDING
AUTHORIZATION TO APPLY FOR A DEPARTMENT OF
JUSTICE TERRORISM RESPONSE EQUIPMENT GRANT
THROUGH THE STATE OFFICE OF EMERGENCY
SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands Fire Department personnel are trained for hazardous
materials response as first responders, trained to the operations level; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands Fire Department is interested in obtaining new
upgraded equipment to use in the response for hazardous materials in the most economical
fashion possible; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Justice has made available through the State Domestic
Preparedness Needs Assessment and Equipment Program, grant funds;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF REDLANDS that application be made for available grant funding for the Department
of Justice Terrorism Response Grant through the State Office of Emergency Services.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 170' day of April, 2001.
