A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION AND ACCEPTANCE OF
YEAR 2009 EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERFORMANCE GRANT (EMPG)
REIMBURSEMENT ALLOCATION
WHEREAS, the State of California, Governor's Office of Emergency Services
has made funds available through the Emergency Management Performance Grant
Program for the support the comprehensive emergency management and the
improvement of mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery capabilities for all
hazards; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands wishes to participate in the Emergency
Management Performance Grant for the year 2009; and
WHEREAS, for the COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, a political subdivision
of the State of California, herein referred to as "COUNTY", and CITY OF REDLANDS,
a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as "SUBGRANTEE", the COUNTY shall
transfer to SUBGRANTEE grant funds, in arrears, as necessary to reimburse
SUBGRANTEE for reasonable and permissible expenditures for the grant purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands has been awarded an amount not to exceed
11,189.00 in Emergency Management Performance Grant Program funds for the year
2009; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Redlands hereby
approves the application for and acceptance of funds under the Emergency Management
Performance Grant Program and the City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to
implement this resolution.
