A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION TO AND PARTICIPATION IN THE
ORGANIZED RETAIL THEFT PREVENTION GRANT PROGRAM
FUNDED BY THE BOARD OF STATE AND COMMUNITY
CORRECTIONS, AND IF AWARDED, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE ANY SUBSEQUENT
FUNDING AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands desires to participate in the Organized Retail Theft
Prevention Grant Program funded through the State Budget Act and administered by the Board of
State and Community Corrections (hereafter referred to as the `BSCC"); and
WHEREAS, that the Chief of Police be authorized on behalf of the Redlands City Council
to submit the grant proposal for this funding and sign the Grant Agreement with the BSCC,
including any amendments thereof; and
WHEREAS, that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant expenditures
controlled by this body.
NOW, THEREFORE, THAT THE CITY OF REDLANDS AGREES TO ABIDE BY THE
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE GRANT AGREEMENT AS SET FORTH BY THE
BSCC.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 6th day of June, 2023.
