RESOLUTION NO. 3275
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR GRANT FOR HISTORICAL SURVEY
IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS
WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted
the "State Beach, Park, Recreational, and Historical Facilities
Bond Act of 1974" which provides funds to the State of California
and its political subdivisions for acquiring lands and developing
facilities for public outdoor recreation and historical purposes;
and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has
been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the
program within the State, setting up necessary procedures govern-
ing application by local agencies under the program; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department
of Parks and Recreation require the applicant to certify by reso-
lution the approval of applications prior to submission of said
applications to the State;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City council hereby:
1. Grants permission to the Redlands Area Historical
Society, Inc. to apply to the State Department of
Parks and Recreation for a grant to perform a survey
of historical sites in the City of Redlands ;
2. Authorizes the City to contribute in-kind services
relative to said survey in a value not to exceed
Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) ;
3. Appoints the City Manager as agent of the City to sign
the grant application and all related documents .
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 3rd day of August, 1976.
