The parties to this agreement of employment are Mrs.
Myrna Cunningham, hereinafter called "employee" and the City
of Redlands, hereinafter called "employer".
I. Employer agrees to perform as follows:
1. To provide living quarters and utilities with-
out cost for employee in the apartment house owned by employer
at 28 Grant Street in the City of Redlands or in lieu thereof
a monthly payment for services performed under this contract
may be made by the employer to the employee at the rate of
eighty-five dollars ($85.00) per month. Part of a month will
be prorated.
2. To extend workman's compensation insurance
coverage to employee.
3. To issue a warrant each month payable to the
employee to the sum of ten dollars ($10.00), for expenses
of various and sundry items the employee deems necessary to
perform her duties.
II. Employee agrees to perform as follows:
1. To manage the following apartment houses and
homes owned by employer in the City of Redlands: See attached
Exhibit A.
2. Supervise and make certain such minor repairs
are made within the apartment houses and homes specified as
the employer shall require. Material and labor required will
be furnished by employer.
3. To put any rooms which shall be vacated in any
of the locations listed in paragraph 1, above, in a condition
for rerental by employer by proper cleaning and maintenance
of such vacated rooms. Materials required will be furnished
by employer.
4. Arrange to advertise all vacancies in the local
newspapers. Bills for advertising to be sent to the City
Manager for payment.
5. Accept any rent payments offered by tenants and
issue a receipt using a City -furnished official receipt book.
Rentals so collected will be turned over to the City Treasurer
on the next working day after collection.
6. The employee shall not hire or enlist the ser-
vices of anyone without the expressed approval of the employer.
III. The parties hereto agree that the reasonable
rental value of the room provided employee in the apartment
house herein described is the sum of eighty-five dollars
($85.00) per month.
1. This agreement may be terminated at any time
by either the employee or the employer.,,i'L-1
