HomeMy WebLinkAbout6121_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 6121 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS THROUGH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA BUSINESS, TRANSPORTATION AND HOUSING AGENCY AND THE CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY, WHEREAS, Governor Gray Davis, the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency, and the California Office of Tragic Safety (OTS) have announced traffic safety grant opportunities for federal fiscal year 2003-04; WHEREAS, grant funding is awarded on a competitive basis to political subdivisions of the state; WHEREAS, both local and state governmental agencies are invited to participate in the grant award process; WHEREAS, the City of Redlands is a local governmental agency interested in grant funding for a project hereinafter referred to as"Lighted Crosswalks Pedestrian Safety Project." NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redlands hereby 1. Approves and supports the filing of an Application for grant funds through the State of California Business, Transportation and Housing Agency and the California Office of Traffic Safety.
