HomeMy WebLinkAbout5794_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 5794 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR THE REDLANDS SPORTS COMPLEX. WHEREAS, the Legislature and Governor of the State of California have approved a grant for the project shown above; and WHEREAS, the California Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the grant project, setting up necessary procedures; and WHEREAS, said procedures established by the California Department of Parks and Recreation require the City of Redlands to certify by resolution the approval of applications before submission of said application to the State; and WHEREAS, the City of Redlands will enter into a contract with the State of California for the subject project; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redlands: 1. Approves the filing of an application for local assistance for the above project; and 2. Certifies that the Grantee understands the assurances and certification in the application form; and 3. Certifies that the Grantee has or will have sufficient funds to operate and maintain the project; and 4. Certifies that the Grantee has reviewed and understands the General Provisions contained in the Project Contract shown in the Procedural Guide; and 5. Appoints the Public Works Director as agent to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to applications, agreements, payment requests and so on, which may be necessary for the completion of the aforementioned project.
