EXPRESSING THE DESIRE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY REGIONAL LAW ENFORC&MENT HELICOPTER PATROL
PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the County of San Bernardino has been approved for a
Federal Grant to provide a regional Law Enforcement Helicopter
Patrol, and
WHEREAS, the various cities in the San Bernardino valley have
been invited by the county to participate in and benefit from this
Law Enforcement Helicopter Patrol, and
W"HiEREAS, this patrol will include pa--t-time la#�r enforcement
helicopter coverage over the City of Redlands and, as such, is con-
sidered a valuable crime deterrent and an important extension of
the Redlands Police Department capability;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF REDLANDS :
That the City Manager be directed to express to the Board of
Supervisors of the County of San Bernardino the desire of the
City of Redlands to participate with the County and other
cities in the regional Law Enforcement Helicopter Patrol for
the San Bernardino Valley area; and
That the City of Redlands will pay the County of San
Bernardino its assessed share of the cost of the regional Law
Enforcement Helicopter Patrol.
