Home My WebLink About2590_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 25901 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS , CALIFORNIA, ENTITLED AS FOLLOWS : "A SCHEDULE OF INTERMENT AND DISINTERMENT FEES , OVERTIME CHARGES, LOT AND MAUSOLEUM CRYPT PRICES , FLOWER VASE CHARGES , MARKER SETTING FEES, PLUS CREDIT AND DISCOUNT REGULATIONS, APPLICABLE TO THE OPERATION OF HILLSIDE MEMORIAL PARD, REDLANDS , CALIFORNIA, A CEMETERY OWNED BY THE CITY OF REDLANDS , CALIFORNIA, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 834 AND ALL OTHER RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT WITH RESOLUTION NO. 2590 . " The City Council of the City of Redlands does resolve as follows: The following schedule is established for fees and charges for property sold or services rendered by Hillside Memorial Park (Reference is made to Resolution No. 2591, establishing Cemetery Rules and Regu- lations) : SECTION ONE: Interment and Disinterment Fees and Overtime Rates. (f) Baby Disinterment Fees: Fee schedule same as Section One (c) for ",smaller sizes" . Resolution No. 2590 - Page two (g) Interments Requiring Overtime Work-, Overtime work rates shall be charged for all funerals arriving at the cemetery after 3: 30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and after 12: 00 noon on Saturdays . Overtime is charged at the rate of $10.00 for each half hour or portion thereof for any funeral arriving at the cemetery after 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and 12: 00 noon on Saturday. Minimum overtime charge is $25. 00. Except in cases of extreme emergency, as determined by the Cemetery Superintendent, interments will not be authorized on Sundays or Holidays observed by City em- ployees. When authorized, a flat overtime charge of $100 will be made. Resolution No. 2590 - Page five SECTION THREE: credit and Discount Regulations: (a) Credit terms for immediate Need Sales: No interment will be allowed unless and until the purchaser has paid to the City an amount equal to the interment fee for such interment. The only exceptions will be those cases where all burial charges are to be paid from an estate, and then only after the Cemetery Superintendent, or his representative, has verified with the Administrator or Executor of the estate that there will be sufficient funds to satisfy burial expenses. On behalf of their customers, mortuaries located in the City of Redlands, Loma Linda, Yucaipa and Calimesa may be allowed to make credit purchases without a down pay- ment, but in such cases the City will hold the mortuary responsible for payment when due, if not paid by the customer. In all grave spaces in which a body is interred, the City shall require that all costs, including interment fees, purchases of vases, markers and borders, shall be paid in full within twelve months from the date of inter- ment. Sales or charges of $30. 00 or less shal.1 be made on a cash-sale basis only. (b) Credit Terms for Pre-Need Sales: Grave Lots 10% down payment Mausoleum Crypts 20% down payment Balance payable within thirty-six (36) months or less, by equal monthly payments. Minimum monthly payment, ten (10) dollars . Interest charged at 1% per month for payments overdue. (c) Discounts: A discount of five (5) percent is allowed on all cash sales in excess of thirty (30) dollars. SECTION FOUR: That all other resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
