RESOLUTION NO. 7157
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DESIGNATING
THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1740 CANYON ROAD AS AN HISTORIC PROPERTY
AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 7084
(HISTORIC RESOURCE NO. 113)
(COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NO. 0 176-154-03)
WHEREAS,Chapter 2.62 of the Redlands Municipal code establishes rules and regulations
governing the designation,preservation and perpetuation of historic and scenic properties; and
WHEREAS, the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission has held a duly advertised
public hearing to consider designation the following as an historic property: 1740 Canyon Road,
Redlands, California 92373 (County of San Bernardino Assessor's Parcel No. 0176-154-03); and
WHEREAS, the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission has nominated the above-
mentioned property as an historic property in accordance with procedures established in Chapter 2.62
of the Redlands Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Redlands held a duly notified public hearing to
consider the recommendation of the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission on October 4,
2011;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE City Council of the City of Redlands as
follows:
Section 1. The following property, owned by Victor and Virginia Blankenship, is hereby
designated as an historic property: 1740 Canyon Road,Redlands, California,92373 (APN: 0176-
154-03)

Section 2. This historic property shall not be altered on the exterior, moved, demolished,
subdivided,or otherwise permanently changed on the exterior until a Certificate of Appropriateness
has been secured.
Section 3.The City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby directed to cause a certified copy
of this Resolution to be recorded with the County Recorder, County of San Bernardino.
Section 4. Resolution No. 7084 of the City Council of the City of Redlands is hereby
rescinded.
