UNIVERSITY STREET AS A HISTORIC PROPERTY (HISTORIC AND SCENIC RESOURCE NO. 124) WHEREAS, Chapter 2.62 of the Redlands Municipal Code establishes rules and regulations governing the designation, preservation and perpetuation of historic and scenic properties; and WHEREAS, the Historic and Scenic Preservation Corrunission has held a duly noticed public hearing to consider the designation of the following as a historic property: 411 N. University Street, Redlands, California, 92374 (County of San Bernardino Assessor's Parcel No. 0170-142-07); and WHEREAS, the Historic and Scenic Preservation Conunission has nominated the above- mentioned property as a historic property iii accordance with procedures established in Chapter 2.62 of the Redlands Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands has held a duly noticed public hearing to consider the recommendation of the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows: Section 1. The following property owned by the City of Redlands is hereby designated as a historic property: 411 N. University Street,Redlands, California, 92374(County of San Bernardino Assessor's Parcel No. 0170-142-07) in accordance with the provisions of Section 2.62.170 of the Redlands Municipal Code in that the property has significant character, interest, or value as part of the development,heritage or cultural characteristics of the city of Redlands, state of California, or the United States in that the Redlands Lawn Bowling Club has a significant value to the City of Redlands as it is part of the City's heritage. Section 2. Neither the structure on the property nor the property, as those historic elements exist on the effective date of this Resolution, shall be altered on the exterior, moved, demolished, subdivided, or otherwise permanently changed, unless a Certificate of Appropriateness or Certificate of Hardship has been first secured from the City of Redlands. Section 4. The City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby directed to cause a certified copy of this Resolution to be recorded with the County Recorder, County of San Bernardino. Section 5.
