RESOLUTION NO. 4857
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
DESIGNATING AN HISTORIC RESOURCE
WHEREAS, Chapter 2 .62 of the Redlands Municipal. Code
establishes rules and regulations governing the designation,
preservation and perpetuation of historical and scenic properties;
and
WHEREAS, the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission has
held a duly advertised public hearing to consider designating the
following as a historical property:
Major David Shaw House
928 Orange Street
Redlands, California 92374 `
WHEREAS, the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission has
nominated the above-mentioned property as a historic property in
accordance with procedures established in Chapter 2.62 of the
Redlands Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands has held a
duly advertised public hearing to consider the recommendation of
the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redlands as follows:
1= The following property is hereby designated as a
historical property:
Major David Shaw House
928 Orange Street
Redlands, California 92374
Legal Description:
Lot 14 of Block 9 of the Town of Lugonia in the
County of San Bernardino, as per plat recorded in
Book 8 of maps, Page 7 in the Office of the
Records of said County in the State of California.
2 . This historic property shall not be altered on the
exterior, moved, demolished, subdivided, or other wise
permanently changed on the exterior until a Certificate
of Appropriateness has been secured.
3 . All provisions of Chapter 2 . 62 of the Redlands
Municipal Code and any amendments thereto, are in
effect now and in the perpetual future.
4 . The City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby
directed to cause a certified copy of this Resolution
to be recorded with the County Recorder, County of San
Bernardino.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 21st day of April, 1992 .
