RESOLUTION NO. 4860
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
DESIGNATING AN HISTORIC RESOURCE
WHEREAS, Chapter 2.62 of the Redlands Municipal Code
establishes rules and regulations governing the designation,
preservation and perpetuation of historical and scenic properties;
and
WHEREAS, the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission has
held a duly advertised public hearing to consider designating the
following as a historical property:
Charles A. Wood House
203 West Olive Avenue
Redlands, California 92373
WHEREAS, the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission has
nominated the above-mentioned property as a historic property in
accordance with procedures established in Chapter 2 . 62 of the
Redlands Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands has held a
duly advertised public hearing to consider the recommendation of
the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redlands as follows:
1. The following property is hereby designated as a
historical property:
Charles A. Wood House
203 West OliveAvenue
Redlands, California 92373

2 . This historic property shall not be altered on the
exterior, moved, demolished, subdivided, or other wise
permanently changed on the exterior until a Certificate
of Appropriateness has been secured.

3 . All provisions of Chapter 2 . 62 of the Redlands
Municipal Code and any amendments thereto, are in
effect now and in the perpetual future.
4 . The City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby
directed to cause a certified copy of this Resolution
to be recorded with the County Recorder, County of San
Bernardino.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 21st day of April, 1992.

Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st day of April,

CHARLES A. WOOD HOUSE
Those portions of Lots 8, 9, 10 and 11 in Block "B" of Owens
Addition, in the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State
of California, as per plat recorded in Book 5 of Maps, Page 41, in
the Office of the County Recorder of said County, described as
follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the Northeasterly boundary line of
Lot 7, in Block "H" of Second Preliminary Map of Redlands, as per
plat recorded in Book 5 of Maps, Page 2, in the Office of the
County Recorder of said County, distant 435 feet Northwesterly from
the common corner of Lots 1, 2, 7 and 8 of said Block "H" ; thence
at right angles to said Northeasterly line, Southwesterly 165 feet;
thence at right angles Northwesterly 30 feet to the land heretofore
conveyed to William Rena Heacock, by deed recorded in Book 276,
Page 72 of Deeds; thence at right angles Northeasterly 50 feet;
thence at right angles Northwesterly, 195 feet to a point in the
center line of Olive Avenue distant 544. 5 feet Easterly from the
Westerly corner of said Lot 7 ; thence at right angles along the
center line of Olive Avenue, 115.5 feet to the Northeasterly corner
of said Lot 7; thence at right angles Southeasterly along the
Northeasterly line of said Lot 7, 225 feet to the point of
beginning.
Except therefrom that portion lying within the boundary lines
of Olive Avenue and Eureka Street.
