Box 3005 � � Redlands, CA 92373 RESOLUTION NO. 4929 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DESIGNATING AN HISTORIC RESOURCE HISTORIC RESOURCE NO. 85 WHEREAS, Chapter 2.62 of the Redlands Municipal Code establishes rules and regulations governing the designation, preservation and perpetuation of historical and scenic properties; and WHEREAS, the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission has held a duly advertised public hearing to consider designating the following as an historic property: The Soffel House 1041 East Pioneer Avenue Redlands, California WHEREAS, the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission has nominated the above-mentioned property as a historic property in accordance with procedures established in Chapter 2.62 of the Redlands Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands has held a duly advertises public hearing to consider the recommendation of the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows: 1. The following property is hereby designated as an historical property: Soffel House 1041 East Pioneer Avenue Redlands, California IL LEGAL DESCRIPTION Building located in the southwest one-half acre of the following parcel: The southwest 1/4 of the northeast 1/4 of the southwest 1/4 of Section 14, Township 1 south, Range 3 west, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, according to the Official Plat of said land approved by the Surveyor General, dated September 4, 1858. EXCEPTING the South 30 feet for road purposes. 2. This historical property shall not be altered on the exterior, moved, demolished, subdivided, or other wise permanently changed on the exterior until a Certificate of Appropriateness has been secured. 3. All provisions of Chapter 2.62 of the Redlands Municipal Code and any amendments thereto, are in effect now and in the perpetual future. 4. The City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby directed to cause a certified copy of this Resolution to be recorded with the County Recorder, County of San Bernardino.
