RESOLUTION NO. 6400
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
DESIGNATING AN HISTORIC PROPERTY
HISTORIC RESOURCE NO. 105
WHEREAS, Chapter 2.62 of the REulands Municipal Code establishes rules and
regulations governing the designation, preservation and perpetuation of historical and scenic
properties; and
WHEREAS, the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission has held a duly advertised
public hearing to consider designating the following as an historic property:
The Salvation Army(Owner)
Marten Andersen House
831 Sixth Street
Redlands, California
WHEREAS, the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission has nominated the above-
mentioned property as a historic property in accordance with procedures established in Chapter
2.62 of the Redlands Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands has held a duly advertised public
hearing to consider the recommendation of the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as
follows:
1. The following property is hereby designated as an historical property:

NAME/ADDRESS: Marten Andersen House
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Town Lugonia, Lot 2, Block 23 (the "Property")
2. This Property shall not be altered on the exterior, moved, demolished, subdivided
or otherwise permanently changed on the exterior until a Certificate of
Appropriateness has been secured.
3. The provisions of Chapter 2.62 of the Redlands Municipal Code and any
amendments thereto, shall apply to the Property now, and in the perpetual future.
4. The City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby directed to cause a certified copy
of this Resolution to be recorded with the County Recorder, County of San
Bernardino.
5. The City Council of the City of Redlnds hereby determines that the adoption of
this Resolution is exempt from environmental review under the California
Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section
15061 because it can be seen with certainity that there is no possibility the
adoption of this Resolution will have the potential to cause a significant effect on
the environment.
