A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO PREPARE AN IMPARTIAL ANALYSIS
WHEREAS, A General Municipal. Election is to be held in
the City of Redlands on November 3 , 1987 , at which there will
be submitted to the voters the following measure:
"Shall an initiative ordinance amending
Section 3 , 4 , and 6 of Proposition R to
reduce the number of dwelling units which
may be constructed within the City and
further regulate outside water and sewer
service allocations and connections, and
to add Sections 10 through 17 to
Proposition R limiting rezoning of lands
designated as urban reserve, reducing
density on hillside property, encouraging
preservation of agricultural lands,
establishing a planning process for the
City' s sphere of influence and requiring
the City to amend its General Plan and
implement such added sections, be
adopted?"
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
does resolve, declare, determine and order as follows:
SECTION ONE: That the City Council directs the City
Clerk to transmit a copy of the measure to the City Attorney.
The City Attorney shall prepare an impartial analysis of the
measure showing the effect of the measure on the existing law
and the operation of the measure. The impartial analysis
shall be filed by the date set by the City Clerk for the
filing or primary arguments.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 7th day of July, 1987 .
