A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO PREPARE AN IMPARTIAL
ANALYSIS
WHEREAS, a special municipal election is to be held in the City of Redlands on
Tuesday, November 4, 2003, at which time there will be submitted to the voters the following
measure:
"Shall Ordinance No. 2550, an initiative ordinance of the People of the City of
Redlands consenting to the City's extension beyond December 31, 2003, of the
terra of the contract with the County of San Bernardino to apportion sales and use
tax revenue generated by businesses located within the unincorporated area
known as the "Donut Hole" and for the City's provision of municipal services to
the "Donut Hole" and approving an amendment to the City's General Plan relating
to development within the City's planning area and sphere of influence, be
adopted?"
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redlands does resolve, declare,
determine and order as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council directs the City Clerk to transmit a copy of the measure
to the City Attorney. The City Attorney shall prepare an unpartial analysis of the measure
showing the effect of the measure on the existing law and the operation of the measure. The
impartial analysis shall not exceed 500 words and shall be filed by the date set by the City Clerk
for the filing of primary arguments.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 5th day of August, 2003.
