HomeMy WebLinkAbout4612_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 4612 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO PREPARE AN IMPARTIAL ANALYSIS WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election is to be held in the City of Redlands on June 5, 1990 , at which there will be submitted to the voters the following measure: "Shall Ordinance No. 2111 be adopted to levy a utility users tax on the citizens of Redlands in an amount not to exceed four percent (4$) , and with exemptions for seniors and low income persons, to: (1) establish an anti-gang/drug task force, enhance its D.A.R.E. program, and purchase earthquake and disaster preparedness equipment; (2) expand paramedic services; (3) fund other emergency and public safety related services; and (4) maintain competitive salaries, based on a survey of surrounding communities, to attract and retain highly qualified public safety personnel; and shall the City' s appropriation limit be increased by the amount of revenue derived from the paid tax?" NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does resolve, declare, determine and order as follows: SECTION ONE: That the City Council directs the City Clerk to transmit a copy of the measure to the City Attorney. The City Attorney shall prepare an impartial analysis of the measure showing the effect of the measure on the existing law and the operation of the measure. The impartial analysis shall be filed by the date set by the City Clerk for the filing of primary arguments. ADOPTED, SIGNED, AND APPROVED this 2nd day of February, 1990 .
