A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
APPOINTING TINA T. KUNDIG TO THE ELECTIVE OFFICE
OF CITY TREASURER AND DELEGATING INVESTMENT AUTHORITY
TO THE CITY TREASURER
WHEREAS, a vacancy presently exists in the elective office of City Treasurer for the
City of Redlands; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code section 36512, the City Council of the City of
Redlands ("this City Council") is authorized to fill the vacancy in the elective office of City
Treasurer by appointment; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Tina T. Kundig has expressed her willingness to serve in the capacity of
City Treasurer, if appointed by tills City Council; and
WHEREAS, if appointed, Ms. Kundig has further expressed her willingness to coordinate
her duties of City Treasurer with the Finance Department and other City Departments; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has determined that Ms. Kundig satisfies the qualifications
established by State law to be appointed to the elective office of City Treasurer; and
WHEREAS, by the adoption of this Resolution., it is the desire of this City Council to
appoint Ms. Kundig to the elective office of City Treasurer;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redlands
as follows:
Section 1. Effective September 10, 2008, Ms. Tina T. Kundig is hereby appointed to
the elective office of City Treasurer.
Section 2. Pursuant to Government Code section 53607, this City Council hereby
delegates investment authority for City funds to the City Treasurer for a one-year period from
and after the effective date of this Resolution.
Section 3. Ms. Kundig shall invest surplus City funds and provide reports of such
investments in accordance with the City's approved investment policy and all applicable
provisions of State law, including Government Code Sections 53600.3 and 53600.5.
Section 4. Ms. Kundig shall also perform the City Treasurer's duties as specified by
State law.
Section 5. The bond required of the City Treasurer shall be paid by the City.
