A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS CONSENTING TO AND AUTHORIZING JOINT PUBLIC
HEARINGS WITH THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS IN
CONNECTION WITH THE PROPOSED NORTH REDLANDS REVITALIZATION
PROJECT AND THE PROPOSED 2008 AMENDMENT TO THE
REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE REDLANDS REDEVELOPMENT
PROJECT AND DIRECTING NOTIFICATIONS OF THE SAME
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redlands (the "Agency") is a duly
constituted redevelopment agency under the laws of the State of California, including the
California Community Redevelopment Law (the "CCRL"; Health and Safety Code Section 33000
et seq.), and pursuant to such laws is responsible for the administration of redevelopment
activities within the City of Redlands (the "City"); and
WHEREAS, on March 20, 2007, pursuant to Agency Resolution No. 407, Agency staff
and consultants were directed to initiate the planning process necessary for the preparation and
consideration of a redevelopment plan for the North Redlands Revitalization Project (the
"NRRP") in accordance with the relevant provisions of the CCRL; and
WHEREAS, on April 3, 2007, the Agency Board authorized staff and consultants to
proceed with the planning process for a ten-year extension of the Redevelopment Plan for the
Redlands Redevelopment Project (the "RRP") in accordance with the relevant provisions of the
CCRL (the "2008 Amendment"); and
WHEREAS, collectively the NRRP and the 2008 Amendment are referred to hereinafter
as the "Projects"; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to relevant provisions under the CCRL a city council and
redevelopment agency, with the consent of both, may hold a joint public hearing to consider
adoption and/or amendment of a redevelopment plan; and
WHEREAS, the planning procedures for the Projects are ongoing and are anticipated to
be completed within the near future culminating at a joint public hearing of the City Council and
Agency Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The above recitals are true and correct and are a substantive part of this
resolution.
Section 2. The Agency consents to and authorizes the convening of a joint public
hearing with the City Council to consider approval and adoption of the redevelopment plan for
the proposed NRRP, and related matters.
Section 3. The Agency consents to and authorizes the convening of a joint public
hearing with the City Council to consider approval and adoption of the 2008 Amendment, and
related matters.

Section 4. The Agency hereby directs the Agency Secretary, in cooperation with the
City Clerk, Agency staff and Agency advisors, to set the dates and times of the Joint Public
Hearings for the Projects.
Section 5. The City Clerk, in cooperation with the Agency Secretary, Agency staff and
Agency advisors, has been directed by the City Council to publish legal notices of the Joint
Public Hearings (a copy and related attachments included herewith) in the City's newspaper of
record pursuant to relevant sections of the CCRL, the California Environmental Quality Act
(CEQA), and the Projects' adoption schedules. Furthermore, the City Clerk has been directed
by the City Council, in cooperation with the Agency Secretary, Agency staff and Agency
advisors, to execute a direct mailing of a copy of the aforesaid notices to designated recipients,
including affected taxing entities, property owners, residents and business tenants, as may be
required under the CCRL and CEQA; the Agency concurs with these City Council directives.
Section 6. The Agency Secretary shall certify to the passage and adoption of this
resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Redlands
Redevelopment Agency on this 18th day of March 2008, by the following vote:
