A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS,
COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA,
INSTITUTING PROCEEDINGS, APPOINTING AN ENGINEER
OF WORK, ORDERING THE PREPARATION OF A
DISTRICT MAP INDICATING THE PROPOSED BOUNDARY
OF LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1 AND
PROVIDING FOR OTHER ENGINEERING SERVICES IN THE MATTER OF
THE CREATION OF LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1
(TRACTS 13282, 13434 AND 13496)
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Council of the City of
Redlands, County of San Bernardino, California, that the public interest,
convenience and necessity requires the installation and planting of
landscape materials and the installation and construction of an
irrigation system and other facilities set forth in Section 22525 of
the Streets and Highways Code, State of California, and the
maintenance thereof along certain boundaries of Tracts 13282 , 13434
and 13496,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redlands does hereby
find, determine and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1 . That the public interest, convenience and necessity
requires the formation of a Maintenance District for the purpose of
installing, constructing and maintaining the landscaping and other
facilities authorized by Section 22525 of the Streets and Highways
Code, State of California, along certain boundaries of Tracts 13282 ,
13434 and 13496 .
SECTION 2 . That the lands to be specially charged for the
installation, construction and maintenance of the facilities and
landscaping shall be the area within the boundaries of the District
generally indicated on the map and shall be known as Landscape
Maintenance District No. 1 .
SECTION 3 . That no part of the area is included within any other
maintenance district formed for the same purposes .
SECTION 4 . That the proceedings are to be conducted for said
Maintenance District under and in accordance with provisions of
Division 15 of the Streets and Highways Code (Landscaping and
Lighting Act of 1972 ) of the State of California.

SECTION 5 . That C G Engineering, 2627 South Waterman Avenue, Suite
E, San Bernardino, California, is hereby appointed "Engineer of Work"
and all provisions of Division 15 applicable to the Engineer shall
apply to said "Engineer of Work. "
SECTION 6. That Noel L. Christensen is hereby designated as the
member of said firm to sign all papers and documents in connection
with the proceedings for the formation of said Maintenance District,
acting in the capacity of "Engineer of Work. "
SECTION 7 . That the cost of maintaining the facilities and
landscaping along certain boundaries of Tracts 13282, 13434 and
13496 in subject district shall be borne by the property owners
within the District, said cost to be assessed and collected in
accordance with said Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 .
SECTION S. That the Engineer is hereby ordered to prepare a report
in accordance with Article 4 of said Landscaping and Lighting Act .
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of March, 1987 .
