ANNEXATION NO. 4
RESOLUTION NO. 4628
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS,
COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA,
INSTITUTING PROCEEDINGS, APPOINTING AN ENGINEER OF WORK,
ORDERING THE PREPARATION OF A DISTRICT MAP
INDICATING THE PROPOSED BOUNDARIES OF AN ANNEXATION
TO LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1,
AND PROVIDING FOR OTHER ENGINEERING SERVICES
IN THE MATTER OF THE ANNEXATION TO
LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1,
(MS 185, MS 178, PARCEL MAP 12061, PARCEL MAP 12300, CUP 382,
CRA 606, CRA 486, CUP 253, CRA 608, CUP 519, CUP 516, CUP 518,
CUP 522, CUP 521, CRA 605, MS 183, MS 182 , CUP 278, CUP 405,
CRA 354, CRA 346, CRA 607 , TRACT 12461 AND PARCEL MAP 12022)
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Council of the City of
Redlands, County of San Bernardino, California, that the public
interest, convenience and necessity requires the installation and
planting of landscape materials and the installation and construc-
tion of an irrigation system and other facilities set forth in
Section 22525 of the Streets and Highways Code , State of
California , and the maintenance thereof along the various
boundaries of MS 185, MS 178 , Parcel Map 12061, Parcel Map 12300,
CUP 382 , CRA 606 , CRA 486, CUP 253 , CRA 608 , CUP 519 , CUP 516, CUP
518, CUP 522 , CUP 521, CRA 605, MS 183 , MS 182 , CUP 278 , CUP 405,
CRA 354 , CRA 346, CRA 607, Tract 12461 and Parcel Map 12022 ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore appointed C G Engineering,
25814 Business Center Drive, Suite A, Redlands, California, as the
"Engineer of Work" for Landscape Maintenance District No. 1;
NOW, THEREFORE , the City Council of the City of Redlands does
hereby find, determine and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1 . That the public interest, convenience and necessity
requires the annexation to a Maintenance District for the purpose
of installing, constructing and maintaining the landscaping and
other facilities authorized by Section 22525 of the Streets and
Highways Code, State of California, along the various boundaries of
MS 185, MS 178 , Parcel Map 12061, Parcel Map 12300, CUP 382 , CRA
606, CRA 486, CUP 253 , CRA 608 , CUP 519, CUP 516, CUP 518 , CUP 522 ,
CUP 521, CRA 605, MS 183 , MS 182 , CUP 278 , CUP 405, CRA 354 , CRA
346, CRA 607 , Tract 12461 and Parcel Map 12022 .

SECTION 2 . That the area along the various boundaries of MS 185,
MS 178 , Parcel Map 12061, Parcel Map 12300, CUP 382, CRA 606, CRA
486, CUP 253 , CRA 608, CUP 519, CUP 516, CUP 518, CUP 522, CUP 521,
CRA 605, MS 183 , MS 182 , CUP 278, CUP 405, CRA 354 , CRA 346, CRA
607 , Tract 12461 and Parcel Map 12022 be defined as Annexation No.
4 to the City of Redlands Landscape Maintenance District No. 1 .
SECTION 3 . That the lands to be specially charged for the instal-
lation, construction and maintenance of the facilities and land-
scaping shall be the area within the boundaries of the District
• generally indicated on the map and shall be known as Annexation No.
4 to Landscape Maintenance District No. 1.
SECTION 4 . That the proceedings are to be conducted for said
Maintenance District under and in accordance with provisions of
Division 15 of the Streets and Highways Code (Landscape and
Lighting Act of 1972) of the State of California.
SECTION 5. That C G Engineering, 25814 Business Center Drive,
Suite A, Redlands, California, is hereby appointed "Engineer of
Work" and all provisions of Division 15 applicable to the Engineer
shall apply to said "Engineer of Work. "
SECTION 6. That Noel L. Christensen is hereby designated as the
member of said firm to sign all papers and documents in connection
with the proceedings for the annexation to said Maintenance
District, acting in the capacity of "Engineer of Work. "
SECTION 7 . That the cost of maintaining the facilities and land-
scaping along the various boundaries of in subject district shall
MS 185, MS 178 , Parcel Map 12061, Parcel Map 12300, CUP 382 , CRA
606, CRA 486, CUP 253 , CRA 608 , CUP 519, CUP 516, CUP 518 , CUP 522 ,
CUP 521, CRA 605, MS 183 , MS 182 , CUP 2781, CUP 405, CRA 354 , CRA
346, CRA 607, Tract 12461 and Parcel Map 12022 be borne by the
property owners within the District, said cost to be assessed and
collected in accordance with said Landscaping and Lighting Act of
1972 .
SECTION 8 . That the Engineer is hereby ordered to prepare a report
in accordance with Article 4 of said Maintenance Act.
