A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS,
OF PRELIMINARY APPROVAL OF
ENGINEER'S REPORT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2014-2015 FOR
LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. I
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands, ("this City Council) has
heretofore determined that the public interest, convenience and necessity require the maintenance
of landscape and irrigation facilities set forth in Section 22525 of the Streets and Highways
Code, State of California,within the incorporated boundaries of the City of Redlands; and
WHEREAS, Fred Mousavipour, City of Redlands' City Engineer, 35 Cajon Street, Suite
15A, Redlands, California, has been appointed "Assessment Engineer" with all provisions of
Division 15 applicable to the Engineer being applied to "Assessment Engineer"; and
WHEREAS, Section 22622 and 22623 of the Streets and Highways Code required that an
Engineer's Report be prepared and filed annually, outlining the assessments to be levied against
the benefiting properties within the City's Landscape Maintenance District No. 1; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands' City Engineer, as the Assessment Engineer, has
prepared and filed with the City Clerk a report in writing as required by the Landscaping and
Lighting Act of 1972 and in compliance with Article XIIID of the California Constitution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered said report and each and every part
thereof, and finds that each and every part of said report is sufficient, and that no part of the
report requires or should be modified in any respect;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Redlands as
follows:
Section 1. That the Engineer's estimate of the itemized costs and expenses of said
work and of the incidental expenses in connection therewith, contained in said report be, and
each of them are hereby,preliminarily approved and confirmed.
Section 2. That the diagram showing the Landscape Maintenance District No. I
referred to and described in said report, and the boundaries of the lots and parcels of land within
such assessment district as the same existed at the time of passage of this resolution, is hereby
preliminarily approved and confirmed.
Section 3. That the proposed assessment upon the properties in Landscape
Maintenance District No. 1, in proportion to the estimated benefit to be received by such
properties, respectively, from said -work and of the incidental expenses thereof, as contained in
said report is hereby preliminarily approved and confirmed.

Section 4. The assessments to be levied and collected against the assessable lots and
parcels of property within the District for fiscal year 2014-15 have not been increased since the
assessments levied and collected for fiscal year 1997-1998.
Section 5. That said report shall stand as the Engineer's Report for the purposes of all
subsequent proceedings, for Landscape Maintenance District No. 1.
