A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
GIVING FINAL APPROVAL OF THE ENGINEER'S REPORT,
ORDERING THE WORK IN CONNECTION WITH
LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 2
AND CONFIRMING THE ASSESSMENT FOR
THE 1998-99 FISCAL YEAR
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands did on the 21st day of April, 1998,
adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 5463 To order the therein described work in
connection with the formation of Landscape Maintenance District No. 2, which Resolution
of Intention No. 5463 was duly and legally published at the times, and in the form and
manner as required by law, shown by the affidavit of Publication of said Resolution of
Intention on file in the office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, after the adoption thereof, notice of the passage of said Resolution of
Intention, headed "Public Notice," was duly mailed in the time, form, and manner as
required by law, as appears from the Affidavit of Mailing said Notice, on file in the office
of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, said City Council having duly received and considered evidence, oral and
documentary, concerning the jurisdiction facts in this proceeding and concerning the
nevessity for the contemplated work and the benefits to be derived therefrom; and
WHEREAS, said City Council has determined that a majority protest does not exist; and
WHEREAS, said City Council having now acquired jurisdiction to order the proposed work;
SECTION 1. It is hereby resolved by the City Council of the City of Redlands that the
public interest and convenience requires the formation of the district and the ordering of
the work, and said City Council hereby orders that the work, as set forth and described in
said Resolution of Intention No. 5463, be done and made; and
SECTION 2. Be it further resolved that the report filed by the Engineer is hereby finally
approved; and
SECTION 3. Be it finally resolved that the assessments for the 1998-99 Fiscal Year and
method of assessment in the Engineer's Report are approved.
