HomeMy WebLinkAbout1056_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO© 1056 RESOLUTION CONCERNING EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF A SUBSTITUTE LITTLE LEAGUE FIELD. WHEREAS, the State of California has purchased 6.82 acres owned by the City of Redlands on the northwest corner of Texas Street and Colton Avenue; and WHEREAS, the consideration for the sale is the amount of $72,500, all of which has been paid to the City of Redlands ; and WHEREAS, the property sold to the State has been used for many years as a Little League baseball field and for other recreational purposes ; and WHEREAS, the City has acquired 10 acres of property as a substitute site for the purchase price of $28,464.77; and WHEREAS, the substitute site is unimproved, and substantial expenditures will be required to prepare it for recreational and Little League baseball purposes: . BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by this City Council: 1. That all or part of the $72,500 received from the State of California for the purchase of the property known as the Little League field shall be used for the acquisition of a substitute site and the improvements necessary to continue the Little League program and other recreational activities as in the past. 2. That no part of the $72,500 shall be used for any other purpose unless the City Council shall so determine.
