HomeMy WebLinkAbout7019_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 7019 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS RATIFYING A PROCLAMATION OF A LOCAL EMERGENCY WHEREAS, Section 2.52.100 of the Redlands Municipal Code empowers the Emergency Services Director of the City of Redlands to proclaim the existence or threatened existence of a local emergency when the City is affected or likely to be affected by a public calamity and the City Council is not in session, subject to ratification by the City Council within seven days; and WHEREAS, conditions of extreme peril to the safety of persons and property have arisen within the City caused by intense and excessive rain storms resulting in infrastructure and property damage, beginning at or about 6:00 a.m. on the 22nd day of December, 2010, at which time the City Council of the City of Redlands was not in session; and WHEREAS, the Emergency Services Director of the City of Redlands proclaimed the existence of a local emergency within said City on December 22, 2010; and WHEREAS, the City Council does hereby find that the aforesaid conditions of extreme peril did warrant and necessitate the proclamation of the existence of a local emergency; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED that the proclamation of a local emergency by the Emergency Services Director of the City of Redlands is hereby ratified, and that said local emergency shall be deemed to continue to exist until its termination is proclaimed by the City Council of the City of Redlands.
