A RESOLUTION SELECTING MAJOR CITY STREETS IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS
WHEREAS, the provisions of Sections 2050 to 2055, Chapter 2,
Division 3 of the Streets and Highways Code provides that each City Council
shall select a system of major city streets, on the basis of general city
importance, subject to the approval of the State Department of Public Works;
and
WHEREAS, streets may be included in or excluded from the city
system of major city streets subject to the approval in each case of the
State Department of Public Works;
THEREFORE, it is resolved by the City Council of the City of
Redlands that the following named street is selected as a major city street
to be included in the major city street system:
NAME LIMITS
Redlands Boulevard, formerly from Tennessee Street on
State Route No. 26, U.S. the west to Ford Street on
Highway 99, Central Avenue the east,
and Beacon Street
RESOLVED, further, that the State of California, Department of
Public Works, is hereby requested to approve the above revision of the major
city street system,
AND FURTHER RESOLVED that all prior resolutions, or portions
thereof, establishing major city streets in conflict with this resolution are
hereby repealed.
