A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FOR ADOPTION OF
AMENDMENT NO, 6 TO THE MASTER. PLAN.
'ATEREAS the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands has prepared
amendments to the baster Plan and adopted such amendments in Resolution
R. P. C. No. 169 after holding two public hearings upon notice in accordance
with the Government Code of the State of California; and
WHEREAS Resolution No. 169, a copy of which is attached hereto, has been
certified to the City Council of the City of Redlands; and
WHEREAS on the 8th day of December, 1961, notice of Public Hearing was
published in the Redlands Daily Facts; and
WHEREAS on this 19th day of December, 1961, the City Council has held a
duly advertised public hearing concerned -with the proposed amendments to said
Master Plan; and
WHEREAS following said Public Hearing the City Council declares that the
proposed amendments are in the interest of the public health., safety, and
general welfare; and
WHEREAS all of the provisions of the Government Code relating to the
amendment of a master plan have been complied with.
NOW, THFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands-
That amendments to the Master Plan adopted by the Planning Commission in
Resolution No. 169 shall be adopted as follows!
AMENDMENTS TO COMPREHENSIVE LONG-TERM
GENERAL PLAN (MASTER PLAN) FOR THE CITY OF REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA
1. Designate Bellevue Avenue as secondary highway between Alder Street and
Fern Avenue.
2. Designate Lakeside Avenue as major traffic street between Brookside Avenue
and Highland Avenue.
3. Designate Citrus Avenue as secondary highway between Eureka Street and
University Street.
Designate the extension of Dearborn Street as major traffic street between
Fifth Avenue and Highway 99.
5. Delete extension of Dearborn Street as secondary highway between Highway 99
and East Sunset Drive south.
6. Designate as a residential street t1iat portion of Mariposa Drive .and Country
Club Drive shown as a secondary highway.
7. Designate Highland Avenue as a secondary highway between the extension of
University Street and Lincoln Street.
8. Designate New York as a major traffic street between Lugonia Avenue and
State Street.
9. Designate Central Avenue as a major traffic street between Highway 99
and Citrus Avenue.
10. Incorporate Precise Street Plan No. 1.
11. Designate Crafton Avenue as a major highway.
12. Designate San Timeteo Road as a major highway.
13. Designate North Eureka as a 4 lane major traffic street from Colton Avenue
to Central Avenue. Adopt special street cross section with 64 foot right-
of-way and 52 foot pavement width.
14. Designate Eureka Street as a secondary highway between Central Avenue and
Olive Avenue.
15. Designate Sixth Street as a 4 lane major traffic street between Co-Iton
Avenue and Olive Avenue. Adopt special street cross section with 64 foot
right-of-way and 52 foot pavement width.

. Designate Orange Street as a secondary highway from Citrus Avenue north
the city limits.
17. Designate Hilton Avenue as a major traffic street between Garden Street
and Avenue.

18. Designate Center Street as a major traffic street between Crescent Avenue
and Sunset Drive.
19. Designate extension of Wabash Avenue as a major traffic street between
Highway 99 and East Sunset Drive south.
20. Designate Wabash Avenue as a secondary highway between San Bernardino
Avenue and city 1-lb-nits.
21. Extend commercial area on south side of West Colton to north freeway
right-of-way boundary.
22. Designate as medium density residential that triangular area bounded on the
north by Central Avenue, on the east by Church Street and on the southwest
approximately 150 feet northeast from Highway 99.
23. Designate as administrative-professional the area facing Olive Avenue betweel�t
Cajon Street and Citrus Avenue. Designate triangular area facing Vine Street
bounded by above description and Cajon Street as commercial.
2h. Extend administrative professional area along north side of Brookside
Avenue to existing shoppin center.
25. Relocate proposed shopping center sites to areas more in conformity with
zoning ordinance. Indicate the existing shopping centers.
26. Extend Civic Center boundary north of Brookside Avenue.
27. Indicate site of proposed Municipal Airport.
28. Indicate correct city limit lines.
29. Proposed school sites indicated as existing, where construction or land
acquisition has occurred.
30. Designate proposed Junior High School in the vicinity of Craf ton Avenue
and Fifth Avenue.
31. Little League field indicated as existing park.
32. Indicate proposed park at northwest corner of Lugonia Avenue and Texas
Street.
33. Extend proposed Reservoir Canyon Park site to Highland Avenue.
34. Designate freeway route and adopt the legends.
35. Designate Fifth Avenue as secondary highway between Morrison Avenue and
Dearborn Street.
36. Adopt street cross sections.
37. Include proposed general plan for Mentone area.
