A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A MASTER PLAN FOR THE
CITY OF REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the purpose of a Master Plan for the City of
Redlands is deemed to be in the interest of the orderly development
of said City, and important to the preservation of health, safety,
and general welfare of the inhabitants thereof; and
WHEREAS., such a Master Plan has been prepared and completed
and, after public hearings and notices, has been adopted by the City
Planning Commission and certified to the City Council, with request
that it be adopted; and
WHEREAS, public notice of a hearing on said Master Plan has
been given and September 28th, 1954, designated as the date of the
hearing, and such hearing having been held and the City Council be-
lieving that said Master Plan is for the best interest of said City
and the inhabitants thereof;
NOW, THERLPORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redlands :

That that certain Master Plan on 'tile in the office of the

adopted and approved as the Master Plan for the City of Redlands,
County of San Bernardino, State of California.
BE IT FURTHER RBSOLVED that said Master Plan be deemed and
considered as comprising the following infoftation, sections, descrip-
tive material, standards, maps, and charts, more particularly described
as follows :
A. LAND USE: consisting of a comprehensive plan for the
most =es rable utilization of land, based on an
inventory and classification of natural land type and
of existing land cover and use.
B. HIGHWAYS AND MAJOR TRAFFIC STREETS : Including general loca-
Elons and proposals of standards or width and treatment.
C. RECREATION AND SCHOOL PLAN: showing the general location
of recreational areas of various types and general location
of public school facilities.
D. PUBLIC BUILDING PLAN: defining the proposed Civic Center.

criptive material, consisting of :

Commission of the City of Redlands, bearing the title "Master Plan of
the City of Redlands" and delineating by use of color and other media.,
the land use, street plan, and other plans set forth above, be, and
they are hereby decreed to constitute the Master Plan which is the
subject of this Resolution.
