A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ENDORSING MEASURE "L" FOR THE SAN BERNARDINO COMMUNITY
COLLEGE DISTRICT ON THE NOVEMBER 5r 1991, BALLOT
WHEREAS, the increasing number of Redlands residents
have been well served by Crafton Hills College and San
Bernardino Valley College; and
WHEREAS, due to the increasing stature of California' s
community colleges, and due3 to the dramatic increases in
tuition at California ' s public and private universities,
increasing numbers of high school graduates and adults from
the City of Redlands will be attending Crafton Hills College
and San Bernardino Valley College ; and
WHEREAS, due to the financial crisis in the State of
California, community colleges will not be able to construct
the additional classrooms necessary to accommodate these
students; and
WHEREAS, for only an additional sixty-four cents per
month on the average residence and for only twenty-eight
cents for the first year , Crafton Hills College and San
Bernardino Valley College will be able to construct the
additional classrooms necessary;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the
City of Redlands endorses Measure "L" for the San Bernardino
Community college District on the November 5, 1991, ballot.
ADOPTED, APPROVED AND SIGNED this 15th day of
October , 1991.
