HomeMy WebLinkAbout6539_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO, 6539 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 2846 RELATING TO THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR INSPECTIONS OF MOBILE HOME PARKS LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY WHEREAS, on December 15, 1970, the City Council of the City of Redlands ("this City Council") adopted Resolution No. 2846 to assume responsibility for the enforcement of the State Mobile Home Parks Act and related matters for mobile home parks located within the City; and WHEREAS, since the date of the adoption of Resolution No. 2846, this City Council has determined that it is more efficient, economical and effective for the State of California to enforce the State Mobile Home Parks Act for mobile home parks located within the City; and WHEREAS, on April 2, 2002, this City Council, in accordance with California Health and Safety Code Section 18300,this City Council took action to notify the State Department of Housing and Community Development that the City was canceling its assumption of responsibility for the enforcement of the Mobile Home Parks Act for mobile home parks located within the City; and WHEREAS, on April 8, 2002, the Mayor of the City of Redlands provided written notification to the State Department of Housing and Community Development of this City's Council cancellation of its assumption of responsibility for the enforcement of the Mobile Home Parks Act; and WHEREAS, the State Department of Housing and Community Development has recently contacted the City and requested this City Council confirm its past action by adoption of a resolution ratifying its prior action; NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Resolution No. 2846 entitled "Resolution of the City of Redlands, a California Municipality,assuming responsibility for the enforcement of the State Mobile-Home Parks Act and related matters" is hereby rescinded. Section 2. This City Council hereby confirms that pursuant to its action of April 2,2002,and by the adoption of this resolution, this City Council has canceled its assumption of responsibilities for the enforcement of the Mobile-Home Parks Act effective as of April 2, 2002.
