A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OP REDLANDS REQUESTING THE
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO TO PLACE ON THE
BALLOT FOR THE NOVEMBER 7TH GENERAL ELECTION A MEASURE TO ESTABLISH AN
ORDINANCE TO MODERATE THE RATE OF GROWTH WITHIN THE CITY OF' REDLANDS
WHEREAS, a General Election is to be held in the State of California
on November 7, 1978; and
WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing this service shall be
paid by the City of Redlands,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does hereby
resolve, determine and order as follows :
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the provisions of Section 34877 of the
Code of the State of California, this City Council hereby requests the
Board of Supervisors of said County to order the Registrar of Voters to
include the following ballot measure:
BALLOT MEASURE R
"Initiative ordinance limiting subdivision development of
residences and mobile homes to 450 dwelling units per year as
selected by the City and limiting outside water or sewer service
to no more than 150 dwelling units per year, and excluding com-
mercial and industrial construction and single family homes and
multi-family developments of four units or less " followed by the
words "yes" and "no" so printed that the voters may express their
choice.
SECTION 2. That said City shall reimburse said County for this work
upon presentation to the City of a properly approved bill.
SECTION 3 . That the City Clerk is hereby directed to forward without
delay to said Board of Supervisors and to said Registrar of Voters, each,
a certified copy of this resolution.
