A RESOLUTION CDP THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS REQUESTING
THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF TEE COUNTY OF SAN' BERNARDINO TO PERMIT
THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS OF SAID COUNTY TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES
TO THE CITY OF REDLANDS RELATTNG TO THE CONDUCT OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION TO BE HELD 1N SAID CITY ON MARCK 5, 1974
WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election is to be held in the City of
Reolands on March 5� 1974 and
WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of said election and in relation
thereto it will be neces8ary to mail samp18 ballots and poliing place
in8errs to the reqAtered voters of the City, and it will facilitate
such mailing if the Registrar of Voters of the County of San Bernardino
will prepare and furnish the City the imprinting of the names and address-
es of the registered voters of said City on poijing pjace inserts
furnished by th, City, and after bursting the forms will insert the poll-
ing place ince "t and sample ballot into envelopes, all to befurnished by
the City, will place all envelopes in zip-coded mail bags, advise city
Clerk of the number of pieces to be mailed, prepare POD Form 3602,
"Statement of Mailing Matter with Permit imprints" , and advise the City
Clerk when work is complete so delivery can be arranged; and
WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing this service shall he
paid by the City of Redlands;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redlands does hereby
RESOLVE, DETERMINE AN'D ORDER as follows:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the provisions of 3ection 22003 of the
Elections Code of the State of California, this City Council hereby
requests the Board of Supervisors of said County to permit the Registrar
of Voters to prepare and furnish to said City for use in conducting said
election to be hold on March 5, 1974, the imprinting of the names and
addresses of the registered voters of said City on I,B,M, polling place
inserts furnished by the City and after bursting the forms to insert the
polling place insert and sample ballots into envelopes, all to be fur-
nished by the City, to place all envelopes in zip-coded mail bags, advise
City Clark of the number of pieces to be mailed, prepare POD Form 3602,
"Statement of Mailing Matter with Permit imprints -, and advise the City
Clerk when work is complete so delivery can be arranged,.
SECTION 2 . That said City shall reimburse said County for services
performed when the work is completed and upon presentation to the Cit,..7
of a properly approved bill,,
SECTION 3 . That the city Clerk is hereby directed to forward with-
out delay to said Board of Supervisors and to said Registrar of Voters,
each, a certified copy of this resolution.,
