RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ORDERING A RECOUNT OF THE BALLOTS VOTED AT THE MUNICIPAL
ELECTION OF MARCH 5, 1974
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands has
received an affidavit from a candidate at the recent
Municipal Election requesting the recount of voting
returns in 24 _ precincts,
WHEREAS, the City Council is the body authorized by law
to order such a recount when properly requested, according
to Section 18502 of the Elections Code of the State of
California,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redlands,
That a recount be made by four voters appointed
by the city Clerk, the person authorized to canvass the
returns.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of the resolution
ordering the recount be posted in the office of the
person authorized to canvass the returns, and the candi-
dates for this office be notified of the date and the
place of the recount by registered mail.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 12th day of March, 1974
