A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS,
CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE SUBMISSION TO THE QUALIFIED
ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS A CERTAIN MEASURE
ENTITLED THE REDLANDS GROWTH MANAGEMENT ACT OF 1995 AT
THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY,
NOVEMBER 7, 1995, AS CALLED BY RESOLUTION NO. 5193, AND
REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF
SAN BERNARDINO TO CONSOLIDATE SAID ELECTIONS
WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election on Tuesday, November 7, 1995, has been
called by Resolution No. 5193 adopted on July 5, 1995; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to authority provided by statute a petition has been filed with the
legislative body of the City of Redlands, signed by more than ten (10) percent of the number
of registered voters of the City to submit a proposed ordinance entitled The Redlands Growth
Management Act of 1995; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk caused the records of registration to be examined and
ascertained that the petition is signed by the requisite number of voters, and has so certified;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has not voted in favor of the adoption of the ordinance;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized and directed by statute to submit the
proposed ordinance to the voters;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redlands, California, does
hereby resolve, declare, determine and order as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council, pursuant to its right and authority, does order
submitted to the voters at the General Municipal Election the following question:

to growth management entitled The
Redlands Growth Management Act No
of 1995 be adopted?
SECTION 2. That the proposed measure submitted to the qualified voters is attached
hereto as Exhibit A and made a part thereof.
SECTION 3. That in all particulars not recited in this resolution, the election shall be
held and conducted as provided by law for holding municipal elections.
SECTION 4. That notice of the time and place of holding of the election is given and
the City Clerk is hereby authorized, instructed, and directed to give further or additional notice
of the election, in time, form and manner as required by law.
SECTION 5. That pursuant to the requirements of Section 10403 of the California
Elections Code, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Bernardino is hereby requested
to consent and agree to the consolidation of said General Municipal Election with the County
of San Bernardino election to be held on Tuesday, November 7, 1995.
SECTION 6. That the Board of Supervisors of said County is hereby requested to
issue instructions to the Registrar of Voters of said County to take any and all steps necessary
for the consolidation of the General Municipal Election with said County election.
SECTION 7. That the Registrar of Voters of said County is authorized to canvass the
returns of the General Municipal Election, and the election shall be held in all respects as if
there were only one election, and only one form of ballot shall be used.
SECTION 8. That the City Council of the City of Redlands recognizes that additional
costs will be incurred by the County by reason of this consolidation and agrees to reimburse
the County for any such costs.
SECTION 9. That the City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby directed to file a
certified copy of this resolution with the Board of Supervisors and the Registrar of Voters of
the County of San Bernardino.
