HomeMy WebLinkAbout4613_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 4613 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS SETTING PRIORITIES FOR FILING A WRITTEN ARGUMENT REGARDING A CITY MEASURE WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election is to be held in the City of Redlands on June 5 , 1990 , at which there will be submitted to the voters the following measure: "Shall Ordinance No. 2111 be adopted to levy a utility users tax on the citizens of Redlands in an amount not to exceed four percent (40) , with exemptions for seniors and low income persons, to: (1) establish an anti-gang/drug task force, enhance its D.A.R.E. program, and purchase earthquake and disaster preparedness equipment; (2) expand paramedic services; (3) fund other emergency and public safety related services; and (4) maintain competitive salaries, based upon a survey of surrounding communities, to attract and retain highly qualified public safety personnel; and shall the City' s appropriation limit be increased by the amount of revenue derived from the paid tax?" NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does resolve, declare, determine and order as follows: SECTION ONE: That the City Council authorizes _(Councilmember in favor/against) (Councilmember in favor/against) (Councilmember in favor/against) _ (Councilmember in favor/against) _(Councilmember in favor/against) members of that body, to file a written argument regarding the City measure as specified above in accordance with Article 4 , Chapter 3 , Division 5 of the Elections Code of the State of California and to change the argument until and including the date fixed by the City Clerk after which no arguments for or against the City measure may be submitted to the City Clerk . ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this Mayor of the City of Redlands ATTEST: City Clerk
