HomeMy WebLinkAbout4997_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 4997 LA A RESOLUTION OF THE CITYi COUNC L OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS SETTING PRIORITIES FOR FILING A WRITTEN ARGUMENT REGARDING A CITY MEASURE WHEREAS, a special municipal election is to be held in the City of Redlands on Tuesday, November 2, 1992, at which time there will be submitted to the voters the following measure: "Shall Ordinnace No. 2224 be adopted to levy a utility users tax on thecitizens of Redlands in an amount not to exceed three percent (3%), and with exemptions for seniors and low income persons, to: provide additional police officers and firefighters, paramedics, and other city employees to ensure adequate public safety preparedness and to allow the A. K. Smiley Library, Joslyn Senior Center, Community Center, and other park and recreational operations to operate on regular schedules with a full complement of personnel as determined from time to time by the City Council to be appropriate, and shall the City's appropriation limit be increased by the amount of revenue derived from the paid tax?" NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does resolve, declare, determine and order as follows: SECTION ONE: That the City Council authorizes (Councilmember in favor/against) (Councilmember in favor/against) (Councilmember in favor/against) (Councilmember in favor/against) (Councilmember in favor/against), members of that body, to file a written argument regarding the City measure as specified above in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 5 of the California Elections Code and to change the argument until and including the date fixed by the City Clerk after which no arguments for or against the City measure may be submitted to the City Clerk.
