Home My WebLink About434 RDA_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 434 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DESIGNATING ADDITIONAL TARGET AREAS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE AGENCY'S NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION PROGRAM WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redlands (the "Agency") is a duly constituted redevelopment agency under the laws of the State of California and pursuant to such laws is responsible for the administration of redevelopment activities within the City of Redlands; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health & Safety Code § 33000 et seq.) and consistent with the Agency's adopted redevelopment plan for the North Redlands Revitalization Project, the Agency Board has adopted its Resolution No. 429 to establish its Neighborhood Revitalization Program (the"NRP"),- and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 429 identified one initial neighborhood target area for implementation of the NRP; and WHEREAS, Agency staff is recommending that the Board consider designating additional neighborhood target areas for the NRP to provide financial assistance for the enhancement of the exterior of eligible single family, owner-occupied residential properties, and WHEREAS, the NRP is funded with a portion of bond proceeds from tax-exempt bonds sold in 2003 for the purpose of funding low-and-moderate income housing activities; and WHEREAS, in order to maximize assistance to eligible property owners to correct exterior deficiencies, Agency staff and the North Redlands Vision Committee have identified and obtained community consensus to include five additional Target Areas for NRP implementation; and WHEREAS, the need for improvement and rehabilitation of certain housing units within the City of Redlands is great and all prerequisites to the adoption of this Resolution have been satisfied; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redlands as follows: Section It. The Agency Board hereby designates the additional neighborhood Target Areas designated as Nos. 2 through 6, as shown in Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, for the purposes of the implementation of the NRP. Section 3. The Agency's Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions. Section 4.
