A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
ADOPTING AMENDMENT NO. 133 TO THE REDLANDS GENERAL PLAN
WHEREAS,in accordance with Goverrunent Code section 65855, the Planning Commission
of the City of Redlands reviewed proposed amendment number 133 to the Redlands General Plan(the
"Amendment")to amend Section 5.0(Circulation Element)of the Redlands General Planby adding a
new roadway cross-section entitled "Special Collector" for a segment of Pioneer Avenue,
approximately 1,100 linear feet in length, from Texas Street to Furlow Drive; and
WHEREAS, on March 10, 2015, the Planning Com nission held a noticed public hearing on
the Amendment and considered verbal and written testimony of City staff, the applicant for the
proposed Amendment, and testimony from>ne>nbers of the public; and
WHEREAS,upon conclusion of the public hearing,the Planning Commission recomnnended
to the City Council that the Amendment be approved; and
WHEREAS on April 2,2015,notice of the City Council's public hearing for the Amendment
was published in the Redlands Daily Facts by the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, on July 7,2015,the City Council held a public hearing and considered the staff
written and oral reports,the reconunendation of the Planning Commission,the testiunony and written
evidence submitted by and on behalf of the applicant, and testimony by members of the public; and
WHEREAS, following the public hearing on the proposed Amendment, the City Council
determined that adoption of the Amendment is in the best interests of the public health, safety and
general welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as
follows:
Section 1. General PIan Amendment No. 133 is hereby approved to amend Section 5.0
(Circulation Element) of the Redlands General Plan by adding a new roadway cross-section entitled
"Special Collector"for a segment of Pioneer Avenue, approximately 1,100 linear feet in length,from
Texas Street to Furlow Drive, and as more specifically described in the attached Exhibit "A.
